Operations Support Suite
The ADF Operations Support Suite contains five modules designed to provide enhanced management of key flight operations
activities and further link the aircraft to the airline business functions. Using information stored on the handheld devices
(PDAs) or PCs along with data derived from the use of the various Aircraft Performance Suite applications and/or entered by
the crew, the Operations Support Suite provides additional operations capabilities with the following modules:
OOOI Time Capture and Reporting
Out, Off, On and In times are digitally captured on mobile computing devices and passed in a timely manner to the central
server for use by key systems and archiving for in depth analysis.
Digital Fuel Recording and Management
A custom formatted entry screen is available for flight and maintenance crews to enter predefined data points that are
digitally transmitted to the central server where it is organized and made available for analysis and decision-making.
Safety and Security
A formatted access screen is provided on the mobile devices for flight and security personnel to enter predefined codes and
narrative describing safety or security events. The information is automatically transmitted to the central server for
storage and subsequent analysis and reporting.
Crew Management System (CMS) Interface
Using this feature, crew messages and alerts can be routed to individual flight crew members via their handheld computers
(PDAs). This feature is available when the existing CMS is capable of exporting a structured message to the ADF Admin Module.
Text Messaging
By taking advantage of the communications capabilities inherent in the ADF systems and using the central management
created by the ADF Admin Module, blanket or user-specific text messages can be routed to individual mobile devices anywhere
within the communications network.
